Star-Wars-7-Trailer-Photo-StormtroopersJames Bond actor Daniel Craig will appear in J.J. Abrams's Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens, but chances are that you'll never notice: That's because he's going to be a Stormtrooper! Craig, apparently a Star Wars buff, asked Abrams for a cameo in the film, requesting that his face be obscured and that he receive no credit from the production. He'll be hiding in plain site, like any good secret agent! The news was accidentally leaked by Simon Pegg during an interview with the British newspaper The Sun. The word is Pegg has a cameo role, too, but that he won't be a Stormtrooper. Pegg is a  prolific actor who has appeared in a number of other science fiction and fantasy films, including Star Wars fandom's arch rival Star Trek (also directed by Abrams). He's done cameos before, too. If you happen to be a horror fan, you might have spotted Pegg and Edgar Wright as zombies in George A. Romero's criminally underrated Day of the Dead—a nice little call-back to their film Shaun of the Dead. We've only got seven more months and some change until the theatrical release of The Force Awakens, but like the lead-up to Christmas, those months may seem to move agonizingly slow to many Star Wars fans. If you're looking for a Star Wars fix between now and then, you might want to check out Paul S. Kemp's amazing new book Lords of the Sith. The latest entry in the ongoing Star Wars fiction line, Lords of the Sith places the reader in the company of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, forced to work together against a group of insurgents set on taking them down.
